The Story [이야기] :

• This character is composed of 示 which can mean "to be seen/a spirit" and 且 which can mean "a big and heavy memorial tablet".  To pay tribute to one's ancestors, erect big memorial tablets for them.  Sometimes, the spirit 示 of one's ancestors will come out of the memorial tablets 且.
