The Story [이야기] :

  • The character is a picture of a pestle 午.  Every noon at lunch time, the chef crushes the herbs and spices with a mortar and pestle, and cooks food for the customers.
  • Ten 十 plus two strokes above it makes twelve(12), and noon is at 12 p.m.
