The Story [이야기] :

  • This is a pictophonetic character.  "Mouth" 口 suggests the meaning, while 令[영 → 명] suggests the sound.  The character 令 shows the three(3) ministers 亼 of the state coming together and gather sufficient evidence/reason 卩 to make a certain commandment.  Afterwards, upon careful analysis of the proposal, the king executes the command (口 + 令), which in turn determines the fate and destiny of his subordinates.
